On the weekend of May 31st to June 2nd, our project partner Rowing Club Adriatico Fano organized the concluding event for the Coway Project: the International Coway Camp. This significant event marked the culmination of numerous activities and events coordinated by our project partners.

A Comprehensive Program

The International Coway Camp featured a blend of theoretical and practical activities designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants. The event included workshops, beach sprint training sessions, and participation in the prestigious Filippi Cup international regatta, held in Lignano, Italy on June 1st and 2nd.

Workshop and Brainstorming Session

One of the key components of the camp was a brainstorming workshop, which served as a platform for rowing stakeholders—coaches, athletes, volunteers, and more—to discuss essential topics related to Beach Sprint. The workshop covered a range of subjects, including:

  • Technical Issues: Participants explored Beach Sprint and Coastal techniques, equipment standards, and course design, sharing best practices and solutions.
  • Age Equality: Discussions focused on making Beach Sprint more inclusive for all ages by addressing participation barriers.
  • Sustainable Tourism: Emphasis was placed on eco-friendly practices for Beach Sprint events, aiming to support local communities and minimize environmental impact.

This workshop aimed to promote sustainability, inclusivity, and technical excellence in Beach Sprint by bringing together diverse stakeholders from the rowing community.
